Finally, a much delayed album that pays off. Fitting in perfectly with other classic Wu related albums, Cuban Linx Pt. II works from start to finish. This isn’t The Lex Diamond Story. Nothing seems rushed or phoned in. Just like the original, you get an album jam packed from the grittiest of the Clan, 22 tracks of fresh, legit street raps.
Add to that, an allstar list of producers on their game: RZA, Dr. Dre, J Dilla, Alchemist, Erick Sermon, Marley Marl, Necro and Pete Rock. No overabundance of guests or skits. A rare hit, from start to end. Will be dug by indie heads as well as mainstream rap aficionados. If you have an interest in hip-hop and haven’t copped this, don’t sleep!
