Like a lot of RX staffers, one of Ian Bunnell’s favorite albums of the year is The Swell Season’s Strict Joy. Here’s what the young lad had to say about it:
I think it’s a magical album. Even though it’s a breakup album, it couldn’t be sweeter. Marketa Irglova is an amazing addition to Glen Hansard’s creative group. The whole album is very solid. It’s a lot quieter than the Frames albums, and it’s a little more laid back. “Fantasy Man” makes me cry when I hear it.
